Paul KillerbyRotorua Employment Skills Steering Group (2003) Right People, Right Place, Right Skills, Right Time - the Rotorua Employment Skills Strategy, commissioned by Rotorua Employment Skills Steering Group, Rotorua, New Zealand and undertaken by APR Consultants. Abstract The Rotorua Employment Skills Strategy was a collaborative effort by Waiariki Institute of Technology, Work and Income, the Tertiary Education Commission, Rotorua District Council and key industry sectors. A comprehensive survey of more than 1,000 Rotorua employers was undertaken to estimate current and future skill shortages and to collect other opinions and information about local skill and knowledge gaps. This was followed by a series of industry-specific workshops to brainstorm action plans to ensure sustainable solutions to Rotorua's skill shortage problem.
